With the many developments going on in Panama you would think some large and experienced developing groups would be in the real estate game here. There are some that are looking at Panama, but as of now the only developers are nationals (Panamanians) and foreign individual with very little experience, like myself, but a lot of vision and determination. This is a normal progression as the big boys wait for the mom and pops to develop the market sufficiently to reduce the risk. I would expect announcements such as this project in Costa Rica to start appearing in Panama in the near future. It will be of great benefit to the industry as they will raise the bar in quality of projects and invest heavily in international marketing.
