Panama climbed to position 34 in the " Competitiveness Report 2015 Travel and Tourism, the World Economic Forum ", up three positions compared to 37th place obtained in 2013.
This index measures a total of 141 countries worldwide. With that achieved position, Panama is in Central and South America region just below Brazil (position 28 worldwide) and Mexico (30).
The points where Panama has been rated behind and goes wrong focus on three aspects: Security and crime (89 in the ranking); Difficulty of recruiting foreign staff, women and customer service specialists (95 in the world), besides the low offer in cultural tourism (63 in the ranking).
