The Philipe Rodriquez property near Boca Chica was rumored to be sold to a Chinese group several years ago. They were to build a golf course, marina, homes, condo's etc., but things never seem to get off the ground. Today in La Prensa comes an announcement that Philipe and a "group from the Netherlands "will be making things happen on the property very soon there.
I know the property and it is in a strategic location for a project such as this. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean right at the mouth of the estuary and the small fishing village called Boca Chica ,it would certainly bring much needed life to that area. The main question, beside having sufficient capital, is timing and can they build sales momentum needed for success in this economic climate. At the end of the article it says the company is starting three other projects in Panama. This sounds very aggressive to me.
